Sort of Crawling

This is really for the grandmas and anyone else who cares. Cole was REALLY proud of Emma in the first one...that is him laughing in the background. And yes, that is drool throughout the videos, and yes, she is reminiscent of the dog (Hooch) in "Turner and Hooch".

The Halloween Costumes

I never got good pictures of the kid's halloween costumes because of the "sad Halloween" described in the previous post, so here are some pictures of how cute/tough they would have been. I finally got around to it :)

Sad Halloween

There are no pictures for this Halloween blog post. Why, you ask? Because all of us besides Emma had the stomach flu. Parker couldn't go to school in his costume on halloween and there was no trick-or-treating because we were all puking everywhere. There is nothing worse than being a mom with the stomach flu and having kids with the stomach flu and having to clean up after them. I just wanted to quit. We will take pictures later of the boys in their costumes, but for now, we are all just laying around all day and doing loads and loads of nasty puke laundry. So, happy freaking halloween everyone :)

Circle S Farms

Good fall fun... corn maze, hay barn slides, donuts, hay ride, pumpkin patch, chickens... what more could kids want? We had a good time and it was a beautiful fall day to be outside.

Penn State Game

Brett and I got to go to the Ohio State/Penn State game last weekend. I had never been to a night game before and this was a big one to be at. Night games are nice because our kids are asleep for most of it so the babysitter is not having to put up with them all day. We had a lot of fun and screamed our heads off almost the entire game. The atmosphere was awesome and the amount of red was just crazy. I love football season!!!

Buying Crap

Today I was running some errands and I told Cole that we were going to the craft store and that he could pick out something to make if he wanted . He got all excited when we pulled into the parking lot and said "Mom, is this the crap store?" I smiled, tried not to let him see me laugh at the irony, and said "Yep, this is the crap store".

Buckeyes vs. Boilermakers

Brett took Parker to his first Buckeyes game on Saturday and Parker had a blast. Brett usually wears his jersey to the games, but had an OSU shirt on before the game and Parker came down dressed exactly like Brett. Same shirt, cargo shorts, hat, buckeye beads, etc. It was so cute that of course Brett couldn't change so they went to the game as twinners. Parker cheered his heart out (especially on 3rd down), sang every word to the fight song and Hells Bells by AC/DC, and had a hot dog. They had a great time.

Conference Sunday

I love conference weekend. I really do. I look forward to it. But, is it just me, or is conference Sunday night so BORING? Kind of like Christmas night...in my opinion one of the most boring nights of the year. All of the hipe, the anticipation, you have been together as a family for a few days now, have hardly left the house for 2-3 days, you have played with all of your new toys, have tried on all of your new outfits (twice), and it is only 4pm. All there is to do now is sit around and look at each other. Conference Sunday reminds me of this (except no new outfits...if I had a new outfit, maybe I would feel better...hmmmm...). We were so bored by the end of the day on Sunday. Brett and I ended up playing Yahtzee for hours and Brett made meatballs for dinner. That was it, just the meatballs. *sigh*

Cole's Surgery

**Disclaimer: There is a little bit of blood and a whole lot of pitifulness in this post. **

Cole had to get his adnoids removed and his turbinates trimmed down last Friday. He was such a trooper as he always is with these kind of things. We are hoping that he will no longer have a runny nose after all of the healing is done in about a month or so. He has had a nasty "Nickelodeon slime" nose for about a year and we are sick of it.

This first picture I could NOT get to turn so it was upright. Sorry. He is pretty drugged after the surgery and his showing us his new bear named Clue. He named him that because he has a "clue" on his shirt. For all of you parents out there who have kids who watch Blues Clues, you know what this means :0)

So pitiful.

This picture was before the surgery, but after they gave him Valium.

Grandma Sunday is Back!

Sorry grandmas :( I have been a complete slacker lately when it comes to the blog. I am going to attemp to do a little catching up right now. I guess I will start with some pictures that we took today before church. I still can't believe that I actually grew all of these little people. Do any of you mom's out there think that once in a while? I can't believe I was pregnant that many times... Maybe I'm the only weirdo :)

Grandma Sunday (on Monday)

I had the best of intentions to post my grandma blog yesterday, but we had an enormous windstorm (leftovers from the hurricane) and everyone's power is out. We have it back now, but most people are going on 2-3 days without power and may have more days left of this. We are VERY lucky to have our lives back and not be camping in our house anymore.

The storm was CRAZY and did some serious damage. Our cul-de-sac got hit pretty hard. We drove around on Sunday night because we were bored and we also wanted to see all of the damage. I tooks some pics along the way. Here are some of them...

The boys watched Star Wars and we listened to the radio during the drive. The video is of them singing the theme song while they watched. They are so funny :)

Go Bucks!

We were just doing our part to try to help the Buckeyes beat USC (or at least not get creamed again) on Saturday. Apparently we didn't do enough...

Cereal Face

I finally started Emma on cereal. Ugh. It really isn't my favorite thing to do as a mom. I was so excited with my first kid, but the excitement has drastically dwindled with each kid. It is just me? Does this seem like a chore to anyone else? Anyways, ate that rice cereal like a champ and did suprisingly well for her first time around...

Grandma Sunday

I am going to start a new thing that I am calling "Grandma Sunday". It is a post mostly for the grandmas because I don't know if anyone else really cares to see random videos and pictures of my kids and what we are doing today. The grandmas never get to see these cute little kids so here are some videos and pictures to keep them up to speed. I will try to do this every Sunday...we'll see if I can keep it up...

Emma Sandwich
He always makes this face when I get the camera out...weirdo.
"going fast"
Playing!
Emma got a pedicure this morning :)
She ALWAYS has the tongue out these days.
Could she be any cuter?
Practicing reverence :)

Such a lady :) Please excuse her...

Parker's First Day of Kindergarten!!

He has been so excited and not a bit nervous about starting kindergarten this year. I have been quite impressed with his bravery. I think he is just so excited to ride the bus with the rest of the kids in the neighborhood :)

Cleveland Rocks!

We went to Cleveland as a little family vacation and to go to a Mariners/Indians game. You would think I was going to the Bahamas for how excited I was for this little trip. I have not been on any kind of a trip since June 2007 and this was a much needed break even though it was only for the weekend. It was a great weekend to be there because the air show was in town and for two whole days there were all types of planes flying right outside of the hotel. We were on the 10th floor and could see everything. Pardon the long post...we just had so much fun and I didn't want to leave anything out!

The drive up. Cole crashed.

The boys watching the air show. They sat there for hours. When I say the boys, I mean all three of them :)

They took a great nap that day.

The ballgame. Believe it or not, the Mariners won in extra innings and the kids stayed all 10 of them! The Mariners swept the series. I know...shocking.

Emma has a pink Mariners outfit on also, but you can't tell. We didn't have a pink Mariners hat so we had to settle with this one.

Mom and the boys
Brett and I during our "date". We ordered dinner, ate it in the room and watched college footballl all night. It was actually really fun!

Mom and the girl...

Downtown Cleveland outside of the Science Center. It was a great place to watch the air show.
Lunch at Hard Rock Cafe...
We stopped by Kirtland on our way home to have dinner and hang out for a few hours with our favorite great aunt and uncle Herm and Geraldine Caviness serving a mission there. It is SOOO great to visit someone we are related to. They are the closest we have and we love them so much!
