Please Don't Feed The Cole

I found this shirt online and had to have it. So appropriate. He has been wearing it all day and has insisted on wearing the super hero mask also. Since we are potty training he has not had underwear on either...those tight-whities are just for the pictures:) Oh, he is a sight today:)

Becoming Buddies

Parker loves to take care of and play with Emma. She is really starting to love him back and it is so cute to watch!

Happy Birthday Cole!

My little boy is 3 (and some days lucky to be that, but we love him even more because of it!). For his birthday we went to Red Robin for lunch and then went to see Wall-E and then back to our place for cake and ice cream. It was a great day and I am so mad that I forgot to take my camera for most of it. Here are some pics of the stuff at the house:

He also got his first bike that we just got to pick up today. He feels like he can roll with the other kids in the neighborhood now, although he is just getting the pedaling down. I am sure in a week he will have no problems. Oh, and this video makes me laugh everytime I watch it...after the fall, instead of crying he says, "That's funny!" just in case you can't hear it. Classic Cole.

What a day, what a day

RIGHT BEFORE CHURCH: Cole was left alone upstairs for about 1.5 minutes and managed to break a ball point pen all over himself and his new comforter. His hair is permanently dyed blue (he is so punk rock) and I am pretty sure it will be that way until it grows out and we cut it. *SIGH*

DINNER CONVERSATION AFTER CHURCH:

Brett: So, Parker, what did you learn in primary today?

Parker: We learned about being a peacemaker.

Brett: What is a peacemaker?

Parker: Someone who makes peace.

Brett: What does that mean? Who is a peacemaker?

Parker: Umm...Jesus?

Mom: So, what is peace? (thinking that this is VERY appropriate and needed lesson in our less-than-peaceful home)

Parker: (pointing down at his plate) It is kind of like my corn, it has pieces, except it is green.

Lesson learned today: We should all strive to be like Jesus, the Peas Maker.

For All You Star Wars Fans...

Parker has recently fallen in love with Star Wars. We purchased Episode IV (the original old-school Star Wars film) about two weeks ago and he has watched it about a dozen times since. Yesterday afternoon I heard the boys fighting upstairs but instead of stomping it out right away I decided to wait a minute and see if they'd work it out on their own. After about thirty seconds or so I heard a thump, a crash, and Cole wailing. I went up to investigate and walked in just in time to see Cole sitting up on his bed screaming and Parker across the room, arm outstretched toward his brother, and in the manliest voice he could muster saying, "I FIND YOUR LACK OF FAITH DISTURBING." I tried to be the tough dad, but couldn't help but laugh at my oldest son's most recent "Parkerism." I guess I'm a sucker for a good Darth Vader impersonation.

Boo

I made a loud noise while I was holding Emma and it scared her so bad that her little bottom lip turned under and she made the most adorable sad face I have ever seen. So, being the wonderful mother that I am, I made Brett get the camera so that I could scare her again and we could document the cute sad face. When she didn't react and just looked confused, I laughed, and this is the face she made then.

Potty Training

We have officially begun with Cole one of my most dreaded tasks as a mom...POTTY TRAINING. He is actually doing really well. I told him yesterday that we were going to start to potty train and today he really made me laugh today when he said, "Mom, I want to go on the potty train". Maybe the reason he is doing well is because he thinks he gets to go on a train:) Poor kid is going to be so disapointed. Wouldn't you love to jump into the mind of a 3 year old once in a while just to see what goes on?? Wish us luck!

This is a pic of Brett washing poop off Cole's hands after he went number 2 in the backyard and then set wiffle balls on top of each little accident so that we wouldn't see. We threw those balls away. (Notice that Cole has nothing on but his Crocks...).

Girls Are So Fun!

They are like little barbie dolls that you get to dress up. I LOVE my boys, but this is a whole new kind of fun:) She is the BEST baby-just calm and happy all the time. Here are some pics I took today of her in her Sunday dress...
